Red Light Therapy FAQ
Red light therapy, also known as Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT), uses red and near-infrared light to stimulate cellular repair, reduce inflammation, and enhance circulation. It supports healing, improves muscle performance, and relieves pain.
This therapy works by boosting ATP (cellular energy) production and reducing oxidative stress, similar to how plants use sunlight for photosynthesis. This helps cells function better, speeds up recovery, and reduces inflammation.
Red light therapy does not heat tissue but increases circulation, so a warming sensation is often experienced.
It is effective for muscle and joint pain, inflammation, arthritis, neuropathy, and even accelerating fat loss. Athletes also use it to improve recovery and performance.
For best results, sessions are typically recommended 3 times per week, depending on your health goals. Once health goals are reached, 1 session per week for maintenance. Regular use enhances long-term benefits.
